MATTMAN!!

After 2 years at Best Buy, one of the best people there left us :( Matt Jones was a fun guy who worked in the warehouse and taught me a lot of the random crap I needed to know when I moved back there. A Batman enthusiast, a comic book connoisseur, and just a funny guy all around, Mattman will be missed. So, as a parting gift, a handful of us threw a small pot luck and had a Rock Band night. Savannah, Jeff, Casey, Art, Matt, and myself gathered at Art's house for the festivities.

A Little Bit of Fun Time

Dinner anyone? Instead of our usual Thai cuisine craving, Savannah and I decided to go to Jasper's for some creative hamburger time. From kangaroo to wild boar, Himalayan antelope to water buffalo...you name it. I stuck with just a bleu cheese burger, but next time I might try something a little bit adventurous.

Then, this past Friday, while waiting to go to see the new Disney cartoon 'Brave', we got a text asking if we wanted new tattoos...um, yes!? So we pushed the movie back a touch and got some new ink :)
'Faith, Hope, and Love' :)

I do believe that Savannah is my spontaneous soul sister, and I'm excited/nervous to see what we'll do next!

Applegate Lake

Just like the beach trip, this day at the lake was a great time with friends as well. When we said 'lake' and we heard Art say 'paddleboat', we knew it was going to be a fun time. Art, Me, Savannah, Jeff, and Manetta bought some food, loaded the boats and were off.

Aaahhh!!
Literally paddling circles around people...
This was the first trip I've actually taken pictures on the water. Having the paddleboat, or as Manetta dubbed it, 'The Paddleship', made for a lot more picture taking options.

I love my Sav :)

I caught this right after he shot the lid off of a water bottle

My church!
A crazy sunburn and a bit of a sun-bleached treatment for my hair later, and we were planning what to do for our next outing.

Table Rock Hike

Sometimes I have days where all of my friends are busy, working, or have other plans. When these days happen, I tend to feel lonely. So, to try and help counter the depression I feel creeping in, I go to places that I know will make me feel closer to God. Usually it is a place where I know I'll get some good nature pictures, like a river or up the Table Rocks. This hike was a great day, and it made me feel a lot better.

Soooo glad I saw this after I got back to my car...
